NOVEMBER ROTA:  For the month of November, the Elder on duty will be Mrs Valerie Moore with Committee Members – Mr Alan Conway, Mr Ian Dunlop and Mr David Gourley.

BLOOD DONATION SESSIONSNIBTS will be holding a Blood Donation Session in First Larne Presbyterian Hall on Wednesday 20th November from 1.30pm – 4pm and 5.30pm – 8pm.  New donors are always welcome – you could save a life.

TABLE QUIZ IN AID OF TEARFUNDSaturday 16th November in Whitehead Presbyterian.

WHITEHEAD VICTORIAN STREET FAYREFrom 12 noon onwards on 30th November.  5pm Carol Service in Whitehead Presbyterian followed by fireworks.

SALVATION ARMY CHRISTMAS FAMILY APPEALPlease can you bring your gifts on the day of the Gift Day Service – Sunday 8th December.  We are asked to leave the gifts unwrapped, although you can bring wrapping paper along with your gift.  They suggested felt tips, pencils/crayons, toys for males and females 0 – 2 years and 9+.  No toys are needed for 2-7 age range. Thank you.

CONGREGATIONAL CHRISTMAS DINNERThis is to be held on Wednesday 11th December in Café Riva.  7pm for 7.15pm.  Numbers are limited.  Sign-up sheet in vestibule where you can select your choice of dishes also.  If there are any special dietary requirements please mention this ASAP to either Valerie, Margaret T or Jenny.

FOODBANK: Says – Thank you for all your support.  Due to your wonderful generosity we have good stocks of all staple items.  However, it is that time of the year when we prepare for the Christmas Hampers and this year, we expect to be making up 150 hampers for those struggling during the festive season.

With this in mind:

Christmas is coming and the geese are getting fat

Please put:

Large tins of ham

Tins of custard

Boxes of biscuits

Cranberry sauce

Gravy granules

Tomato or brown sauce

Mince pies

Chocolate or sweets

In the Foodbank’s hat

HARVEST APPEAL: Thanks go to all who gave to this appeal. £5415 was raised.  Of this £550 will go to Antrim Area Hospital Neo-Natal Unit with the balance going towards upkeep and maintenance of our church buildings. The £280 raised at the Harvest Lunch goes also to the Neo-Natal unit making a total to them of £900 including Gift Aid.

SHEPHERD’S PURSE SHOEBOX APPEALThanks to your generosity a magnificent 22 boxes were filled and will be going to children in the Middle East.  THANK YOU!

CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING EVENTSTuesday 3 December at 7pm – Drains Bay. The Mayor Mrs Maureen Morrow will be in attendance.

Thursday 5 December at 7pm – Cairncastle with refreshments in the church afterwards.
